Our Board of Directors

Founder, CEO, and Board President:

Nicole Evans is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of experience in social work, including roles in mental health, hospital case management, and skilled nursing facilities. She founded the organization in memory of her son Callan and is dedicated to supporting families of medically fragile children through compassionate, housing-centered care.

Vice President:

Willa Knuckles has over 15 years of experience in the medical field. She brings deep compassion, hands-on care, and nonprofit insight to her role as Vice President. Currently pursuing a degree in Public Health, she has spent much of her career as a CNA in long-term care settings, advocating for vulnerable populations. Her extensive knowledge of nonprofit operations and resource development has been instrumental in supporting the mission of Callan’s Legacy House - even before joining the board. Her dedication to community wellness and caregiver support makes her an essential part of our leadership team.

Secretary:

Elizabeth Winter is a certified pharmacy technician, military spouse, and mother of a medical device-dependent child. Elizabeth brings a unique perspective and deep commitment to supporting families facing health challenges. With a passion for advocacy, she works tirelessly to create a positive impact in the community, leveraging her professional background and personal experiences to drive the mission of Callan’s Legacy House.


Treasurer:

Jonathan Cherwa serves as Treasurer of Callan’s Legacy House, bringing a strong sense of discipline, integrity, and attention to detail to the organization’s financial oversight. After retiring from the U.S. Army in 2021, he transitioned into civilian life by pursuing a passion for financial management, officially launching a bookkeeping business in 2024. With a deep commitment to service and a structured approach to financial accountability, Jon ensures the nonprofit’s funds are managed responsibly and transparently. He oversees budgeting, reporting, and compliance, supporting the board in making informed decisions that align with the organization’s mission.
